2022 recipient Moritz Sanio
As Coordinator of Trees for Guelph, Moritz Sanio is recognized for his leadership and hands-on work to expand Guelph’s urban forest while teaching citizens to plant and care for trees and their companion shrubs and wildflowers. He has motivated hundreds of volunteers, especially children and teenagers to create patches of forest across the city. With this legacy of urban forests and citizens committed to them, Moritz has shown himself to be a dedicated steward of Guelph’s trees.
