In his role with Natural Areas Stewardship, Jay has been a quiet force of nature—working tirelessly and humbly
to lead City staff and community organizations across Guelph in planting thousands of trees, each thoughtfully
surrounded by native plants. His efforts have brought life to spaces like the Mini-Forest by the Eramosa River,
transforming them into thriving ecosystems. Jay’s unwavering dedication to enhancing the environment for both people and wildlife, paired with his outstanding professionalism, leadership, and communication skills, make him a true champion of Guelph’s urban forest. He is, without question, a Steward of the Trees.
