Join Trees for Guelph, OPIRG, and local volunteers for a rewarding day of tree planting and community action.
This spring, we took the first steps toward transforming a small meadow into a thriving future forest. Now we’re back to continue the journey, planting native trees, shrubs, and perennials that will provide shade, habitat, cleaner air, and beauty for years to come.
Get your hands dirty, learn about local native species, and discover how to properly plant and care for young trees. No experience is necessary and all tools and materials are provided.
Bring: a water bottle, snack, and work gloves.
Wear: sturdy footwear and clothing suitable for the weather. We plant rain or shine!
Parking and washrooms are available beside the Splash Pad off Kortright Rd. W. or at University Village Park off Ironwood Rd. Follow the trail to the planting area.
Together, we’re growing a healthier, greener Guelph, one tree at a time.
