“Patterns in the Trees”: A permaculture approach to woody plants in Canada and the tropics

September 18, 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

In recognition of National Forest Week (September 17-23), many events are being held by Guelph-based organizations.

This is a free live-only event.

Trees are vital for supporting life on earth and converting solar energy into biomass for human and animal use. In their natural state, they self-organize into layers, attracting wildlife and encoding information into patterns for intergenerational knowledge transmission.

Join us as Renaud Thomas, an engineer agronomist and permaculture designer takes us through an exploration of the patterns of woody plants in Canada, and some unique examples from Haiti.
