Tree Walk for Canada’s Forestry Week

Yorklands Green Hub and Guelph Urban Forest Friends  invite you to join us for a tree walk for Canada’s Forestry Week!

We will meet at the Guelph Correctional Centre and walk the Blue Dot Trail system there.

We will identify native species along the trails and learn about the connection of trees to water, wetlands and ecological systems in this part of our Grand River Watershed.

Tree diversity is critical for sustainable urban forests and healthy communities. Come out and learn how to identify tree species and see what you can plant in your own yard.

This free outdoor event will be on a grassy path and move at a slow pace.

Date: Sunday October 1, 2017

Time: 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
