Grandparents Day – Grandparent Pine Dedication Ceremony

September 11, 2022 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Come out to honour this amazing White Pine tree in Preservation Park at 1:00 pm. A small ceremony and plague will be placed to award this tree with the 2021 Notable Tree Award. Come out to see this magnificent pine and hear the story about it.
As part of Grandparents day enjoy these other activities:
The proclamation, establishing National Grandparents Day stated three distinct purposes: To honor grandparents; To give grandparents an opportunity to show love for their children’s children; To help children become aware of strength, information and guidance older people can offer.
All are invited to come to share their stories, plant a tree and take a short hike. This year we will congregate at The Turtle Island Education Centre, 343 Southgate Rd. Guelph where there will be maps and guides to lead you on short hikes to points of interest and events along Hanlon Creek.
